Rebecca left Devonport High School for Girls after completing her A Levels. She joined the AAT course at Intermediate level. She is now working for a small accountancy firm in Plymouth and receives her training at monthly workshop days.
Within her employment, she is using her training to work with local church and charity accounts. She says that A+ offers a fantastic course that enables her to use her training for the benefit of the community. Rebecca aims to use her final qualification to serve the community in a business situation. |

Fiona joined an accounting practice in Somerset in October2001, after completing 3 AS Levels at Wadham Sixth Form. She achieved her Advanced Modern Apprenticeship and is now nearing the completion of her Technician Stage of AAT (NVQ4).
She intends to enter a Chartered Accountancy contract with her employer upon completion of her AAT. Fiona always enjoyed Maths at school and thought a career in accountancy would suit her. This has proved to be the case, as Fiona thoroughly enjoys her job. |

Adam attended Haygrove Comprehensive School and Bridgwater College, where he completed his GCSEs and AS Level qualifications, before joining a firm of Chartered Accountants.
He has completed the Intermediate and Technician stages of his AAT studies and is currently in the process of applying for AAT membership. He has since started his studies for chartered accountancy .

Catherine started doing her AAT whilst working in a large accounts department as a Sales Ledger Clerk. She started her Technician level and applied for an Accounts Manager position and got the job.
Since completing the Technician level, she is still doing the Accounts Manager role. This involves preparing the monthly management accounts and being in control of all the accounting functions. However, she has also been involved with some of the general management of the business, which has broadened her knowledge. |

Lisa came to A+ after achieving 3 A-levels in Business Studies, English Literature and Mathematics and an AS Level in French.
She joined at the Intermediate stage (NVQ3) for accounting and she is currently completing her Technician stage (NVQ4). She hopes to go on and train to be a Chartered Accountant.

Neil completed A Levels at John Kitto Community College, Plymouth.
He achieved his AAT qualification whilst working for A+ Training.
Neil has successfully completed his CIMA qualification and is currently working for a large firm of solicitors in Plymouth.

Gareth joined A+ when he was 18, after achieving his A-Levels at Helston Community College . After completing both his Foundation and Intermediate levels with us, he has recently completed and passed all of his Technician stage examinations too.
Gareth would like to achieve the AAT qualification to enable him to progress further with studying and career prospects. |

Stuart says that he decided to choose accountancy, as a career, because it is said that knowledge and understanding of finance gives you a fundamental grounding in the corporate world.
He used to work with Plc accounts and then at RAF Ascension Island, where he did military accounts. He is presently studying AAT Technician level and works for one of the largest Chartered Accountancy firms in the South West. His long term goal is to complete ACCA and set up his own business venture. |

Damien graduated from Plymouth University with an Upper 2nd class honours in Business Studies. He is studying for the AAT qualification and is currently at the Technician level.
He hopes that his qualification will give him the practical, as well as theoretical knowledge, needed in order to be successful in the accounting profession. His AAT qualification will also allow him to have exemptions from ACA exams, should he choose to take his studies further. |

Emma works for an accounting practice in Plymouth . She commenced work there after completing 4 A Levels and 1 AS at Ivybridge Community College, Devon.
So far, she has completed her Foundation and Intermediate levels and is part way through the Technician stage. Emma intends to become a member of the AAT, after completing her qualification .

Alex attended Queen's College in Taunton, where he gained 3 A Levels. After graduating from Edgehill University in Liverpool with a combined degree in PE & History, Alex decided to enter the world of accountancy.
He started work with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Taunton and subsequently commenced his studies. He has now completed his Technician stage and has sat his first examinations for Certified Accountancy.
