AAT Training Study Programme Options
The following summarises the typical options students can follow:
- Distance Learning Study Support Programme
- Day Release Study Support Programme
- Monthly Workshop Study Support Programme
- Evening Class Study Support Programme
- Exam Revision Programme
Students on all programmes receive:
- A full set of course manuals
- A personal tutor to contact
- A bi-monthly progress report
- Use of the IT facilities in Plymouth and Exeter
- Freedom to use the 'drop in' facility in the Plymouth , Exeter and Taunton Offices
- Assessment of all Skills Based Assessment Work
... and access to our web-based virtual learning environment, which includes an interactive bookkeeping training package.
In addition, students who follow the Day Release, Monthly Workshop or Evening Class Programmes will receive tuition at one of our venues. The exam revision courses are included in these options.
Some students may elect to attend our exam revision courses only. These may be existing students following the Distance Learning Study Support Programme or indeed students not affiliated with Accountancy Plus.
Each level takes approximately 12 months to complete with perhaps slightly less time required for the Foundation Stage, being balanced by a slightly longer requirement at the Technician Stage. Holders of a degree in Accounting need only take the Technician Stage.
Our Programmes are not designed to be rigid. For example, a student who has missed a monthly workshop can attend the corresponding evening classes or join with a day release class.
You can start when you want. Again, we are not rigid in our approach, it needs to suit your circumstances. The only constraint we work within is that in order to sit the exams in either June or December you need to be registered with the AAT as a student by 1 March and 30 September respectively .
If there is a particular course, programme option and venue you would like precise dates for, please contact us directly. We can post or email the relevant timetable to you.
