There are real opportunities to improve your skills and good reasons as to why NOW is the right time...
Apprenticeships have never brought more value to businesses across the region. They have been without doubt on of the success stories of the last five years and record numbers of employers have switched on to the benefits that young, motivated people bring to their organisation. Apprenticeships are going through the most significant change in 20 years and we are committed to ensuring that these changes are as beneficial as they can be.
April saw the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy, this means that employers with a wage roll of over £3 million will have to pay 0.5% of their payroll into the Levy. There are also plans for Public Sector Employers to take on 2.3% of their workforce as Apprentices. There is a phased introduction of the ways in which the Apprenticeship qualifications are being structured. Standards will replace frameworks and a new Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) will be introduced to handle funding allocation for Apprenticeship training. So, all of this means that now is the perfect time to be thinking about an Apprenticeship and starting your career in the best position possible!
If you are interested in becoming an apprentice or employing one for your company call Morven Maclean on 01752 256610

If you are a 16-18 year old and become an Apprentice then there is full funding available for your training.
For apprentices that are over 19 a contribution from the employer is requested by the Government which can be spread over the duration of the course. This is usually between £80 - £110 a month.
Due to the nature of apprenticeships, learners may start with their employer at any time of the year however, the day release element starts in either September or February.
