Plymouth based company Accountancy Plus Training Limited has clinched another award after it passed a rigorous inspection for the new Training Quality Standard (TQS) - a certification of training excellence for providers.
TQS has been developed by The Learning and Skills Council, and is a prestigious achievement that can only be attained by the best. They say it "has been designed to recognise and celebrate the best organisations delivering training and development solutions to employers. Certification against the Training Quality Standard is tough to achieve, so we can be confident in endorsing organisations to employers. Consequently, the Standard is something which organisations can aspire to, and be proud of when they achieve it."
Accountancy Plus, who deliver accountancy, IT, customer service and business administration training, are one of only a few providers or colleges to have achieved this recognition and are the first (and currently the only!!) provider in the country to be singled out for "excellence in accounting". The company can now use the Training Quality Standard mark to show that they are certificated to understand and exceed employers’ needs.
The Millfields based business has been expanding rapidly, increasing staff numbers from 25 to 40 and taking extra office space over the past 12 months. In addition to being IIP and Matrix Standard accredited, the company was the only training provider in the South West to be endorsed by the Learning & Skills Council as a Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) in Accounting. It has also been praised in a report by the Adult Learning Inspectorate as "one of the best training providers in the country".
Simon Deane, Managing Director of Accountancy Plus, said "This award caps a busy year for everybody here at A+. Companies across the region are entrusting us to increase the skills of their staff members in order to compete during the tough times we are in at the moment. We are also delighted to be delivering a quality service to individuals who are looking to retrain or boost their qualifications in what is a very difficult jobs market.".
