ITQ is a nationally-recognised programme, designed by employers to meet the needs of today’s businesses. It is tailor-made for you, taking into account all your existing IT skills and any qualifications you may already have, such as the European Computer Driving Licence.
ITQ is the National Vocational Qualification for IT Users which demonstrates staff competence in the use of IT in the workplace. Aimed at IT users and not professional IT staff such as engineers and developers, the ITQ was developed by employers for use in the workplace and has been in use in all sectors of business and industry for 3 years. The ITQ has been designed to provide you with an up to date IT user qualification, tailored to your needs and those of your business.
The ITQ is a truly flexible qualification with a range of optional units to change from. So, the planning process is crucial. You can build your ITQ around ECDL or design your own qualification with ability to pick and choose the areas that you want to cover.
Or, if you hold an IT qualification already, you may be able to gain exemptions from units. On average, the ITQ includes 4 to 5 units at Levels 1, 2 or 3 dependent on your requirements.
