ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN ACCOUNTING BUT HAVE LITTLE OR NO ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE?
The AAT Level 1 Award in Accounting offers the following units:-
- Mathematics for accounting
- Essential accounting procedures
- Creating business documents
- Accounting in a professional environment
This is an introductory (7 week) course, designed for those with little or no previous accounting experience, which will provide you with a firm grounding in the basics of business communication and accountancy, and aims to give learners the skills and confidence to build a career in business or bookkeeping/accountancy.
On completion of the Level 1 Award, learners could progress onto either:-
Level 2 Certificate in Accounting (Awarding body AAT or Edexcel)
or
Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping (IAB)
(IAB: International Association of Bookkeepers)
For those learners over 19 years old and in receipt of means tested benefits (JSA or ESA (WRAG)) the tuition fees will be free of charge (you will be required to provide proof of benefits)
For all other learners funding may also be available.
